Stepping Stones Museum for Children

A. Pappajohn Company completed a major expansion of the children’s museum, effectively doubling its size with an additional 22,000 square feet. The project introduced new exhibit galleries, classrooms, and a resource center, enhancing the museum’s ability to deliver interactive educational experiences for children aged ten and under. A multimedia gallery with a theater, broadcast studio, and high-definition screen further expanded programming opportunities, including distance learning. The expansion was built to LEED Gold standards, emphasizing sustainable design and environmental education.
