Construction Management

The A. Pappajohn Company has earned accolades from developers, building owners, tenants and design professionals for outstanding construction management and innovation. We have a proven track record of executing difficult projects smoothly and according to plan.  In occupied facilities, our superior coordination and project sequencing provide clients with a minimum of inconvenience to their building occupants, and in many cases allow tenants to continue their normal business operations during construction.

As the construction manager we are responsible for project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and quality control.  We identify project objectives, set performance goals, align the right project team that will coordinate construction activities and develop effective communications and strategies.  We execute contract documents, create schedules, work plans and conduct site inspections.  Our project teams supervise all onsite activities and have regular meetings with personnel while maintaining all project documentation, developing open lines of communication and relationships with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors and vendors.

The A. Pappajohn Company prioritizes job safety and we embrace a “Zero Accident” policy that is monitored by our project executives and managers, and is enforced by an independent professional safety services company.  Most of our field personnel have obtained OSHA training certificates, and all participate in ongoing safety training.  We conduct weekly safety meetings with all on-site personnel, and we make safety practices a continuous effort on the part of every member of our team.
